Birth Of Baby Sloth Celebrated At Hattiesburg Zoo

A sloth family gave birth to a healthy baby boy earlier this month at the Hattiesburg Zoo in Mississippi.

The Linnaeus sloths took their grand, old time announcing their latest addition to the family.
On July 5, the zoo's female, two-toed sloth, Mo, gave birth to a boy that was dubbed Lumpawaroo, a name almost immediately shortened to "Lumpy."

Lumpy is Mo's third live birth at the Hattiesburg Zoo. He weighed 626 grams (1.4 lbs) at birth.
He joins his older sisters, Maple and Mochi, and father Chewbacca (Chewy).
