Berkshire County Sheriff's Office
The Berkshire County Sheriff's Office was notified this week of an act of kindness by an individual that works for the Hinsdale Police Department.
On Tuesday afternoon while enjoying the weather and water at Plunkett Lake, a Hinsdale Police Sergeant took the time to bring a box of ice pops for all of about 12 kids that were on the beach that evening.
She showed up offering every kid a pop without any pictures or recognition.
"This is what community is all about!" the Berkshire County Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook. "Small acts of kindness that forever leave an ever lasting impression on our future generations. No photos, no selfies, just simply doing what they are here for, supporting the community they swore to protect and serve!"
