In a Twitter post on Wednesday night, Jennifer Simpson advertised that she had a pair of J.J. Watt sneakers and a women's J.J. Watt jersey for sale.

Simpson stated that she was only selling those items in order to help pay for her grandfather's funeral.

Watt, who played for the Houston Texans for 10 years, saw the post and told Simpson not to sell her gear, saying that he would help pay for her grandfather's funeral.

"Don't sell your shoes and jersey, we'll help with the funeral. I'm sorry for your loss," he wrote.

Simpson replied to Watt's tweet to express her gratitude.

"I freaking love you man. It's been a hard year for me, and this last month has been hard since the death. I wish I could tell you my story," she replied.
