Motorists Stop Traffic On Busy Interstate To Save Family Of Ducks
July 21, 2022
Traffic on Interstate 405 in Washington State came to a complete halt Monday morning as a family of fowl tried to make a waddle for it across the busy freeway.

The babies were on the northbound lanes of the highway according to a tweet from the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Video shows motorists trying to herd the ducklings while Washington State Patrol troopers were on the way.

We have baby ducklings trying to cross northbound I-405 just south of 112th Ave SE in #Newcastle. That's what is causing this. WA State Patrol is enroute.🦆

The incident caused about a 10-minute backup. WSDOT later tweeted that the duck family had been safely removed from the road.
