June 30, 2022
A man in Oman is being hailed as a hero for risking his life to save two children from drowning.

Ali bin Nasser al Wardi
Ali bin Nasser al Wardi successfully pulled two children, ages 8 and 13, from a wadi in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.
Video shows Ali in the water with both children in his arms as he fights the strong current and brings them back to safety.
"The wadi was strong, but the rescue was necessary," Ali told the local news.
"I encountered the children in a panic state, and I took the risk to save them. I was in a state of fear, but it got over because the children were afraid. We used a rope with the help of my father and brother, which was tied around my waist. Thus I went down into the wadi and thank God we could save the children."
