Police Are Handing Out Money At The Pump As Part Of Their Random Acts Of Kindness Program

The Oceanside Police Department in California is helping provide some relief at the pump as part of their Random Acts of Kindness Program.

"We are giving random acts of kindness this month at local gas stations to help drivers with the pain of rising fuel costs," the department wrote on Facebook.

This effort is made possible by a donation from the Fortin family that will provide the Oceanside Police Department the opportunity to grant random acts of kindness all year long.

The money is distributed to all police officers on all shifts throughout the entire city, says Jennifer Attenza, the department's public information officer.

Now starting in April, the Oceanside Police are going to start giving out money at grocery stores.
