The McDonald's restaurants in Huntsville, Gravenhurst, and Bracebridge all flew their flags at half staff in Chris's honor, who passed away suddenly from cancer.
His cousin, Jean Marie, shared the touching story to Reddit.
"My cousin worked at McDonald's in Northern Ontario for most of his life. He was a manager there for the majority of his career," she said.
"He was such a kind soul. He died suddenly last Monday.
The 3 McDonald's restaurants in that area flew their flags at half mast in his honour. Such a beautiful gesture."
Jean Marie says Chris was very loved and did a lot of volunteer work in his community.
