This Restaurant Is Using A Ferris Wheel To Allow Diners To Eat While Socially Distanced
November 24, 2020
A restaurant in Hungary has reinvented the wheel for social distancing during this pandemic.

Michelin-starred Hungarian restaurant Costes has seen business decrease dramatically after tourism practically vanished in Budapest.
Owner Karoly Gerendai said that the turnover at his restaurant is down to about a tenth of pre-lockdown levels, forcing him to look for new ways to do business.
So, he's using the Budapest Eye ferris wheel to allow customers to dine in a coronavirus-safe environment.
"Now that there are not many people either on the wheel or in the restaurant because there are no tourists, the opportunity arose that we could do this," Gerendai told Reuters.
