August 3, 2020
Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky is being praised for his act of kindness for a family who lost their son in a car accident.
Jack Roche was a former Kansas football equipment manager who was killed in a car accident in July at just 21 years old.
Roche, who lived in Chicago, was a big Bears and Trubisky fan.
Upon hearing the devastating news, Trubisky sent the Roche family a letter with a signed jersey.

"I'm so very sorry for your family's loss. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. I got word that Jack was a huge Bears fan and also a fan of mine. I can't tell you what that means to me. I wanted to gift the family with a signed jersey of mine in honor of Jack. Your family is in my prayers and I pray for your family's peace and strength during these tough times. God bless you guys and again my heart goes out to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Mitchell Tribusky."

Roche was a beloved member of Kansas University's football program.
"The KU Football Equipment Room won't be the same without you. Going to miss my 'seat buddy' for road games and your infectious personality that you brought with you everyday," said Trevor Pueblo, a Kansas football equipment assistant.
