Customers Pay For Driver Behind Them For 2 Hours Straight At Mexican Restaurant In Mississippi
July 22, 2020
A customer's random act of kindness at a restaurant in Gulfport, MS, inspired 78 other drivers to pay it forward.

79 customers in total participated in the pay-it-forward at Taco Sombrero in Gulfport on Monday, each driver paying for the order behind them in the drive-thru line.
"At first, we were kind of shocked," cashier Makenna Morgan said. "We thought it would just be five cars maybe, then it just kept going and we were like 'whoa'. Then one guy paid for a $40 order and we were like 'whoa, some people are really nice'."
For two hours customers continued to pay for the driver behind them.
"They were like 'oh my gosh, are you serious?' I was like 'yeah,' they were like 'okay I wanna put five dollars behind us or can I just go ahead and pay for theirs'."
Taco Sombrero Owner Vicki Parkhill said it was "overwhelming" and "wonderful".
She wrote on Facebook: "In a world where you can be anything be kind....we thank you ...Each and every customer! We love our customers! We hope this story will lift one up and inspired to find their own way to pay it forward!"
