79-Year-Old Dancing Cop Brings Smiles To New Jersey

A traffic control officer has been keeping people in New Jersey safe -- and smiling -- for more than five decades.

Ed 'Butch' Larkin
Ed "Butch" Larkin is known as the "dancing cop."
The 79-year-old started working at the intersection of Scotland Road and South Orange Avenue in South Orange at age 23.
"I do all kind of moves; left, right around the back, I do everything," Larkin told ABC 7. "I give 110% when I go out there."
"Everyone recognizes him when they come to town," says Lt. Moore, "and I think people look forward to it."
Larkin promises to continue dancing until he can't give 110%.
"Then I'll have to retire," Larkin said.
Hopefully that is no time soon.
