Dog Gets A Home For Christmas After Spending 500 Days At The Shelter
December 20, 2019
A 5-year-old pit bull mix was finally adopted after spending 500 days in an animal shelter in New York.
Bonita went home with her new owner after living at the Niagara County SPCA in Niagara Falls, N.Y., for over a year and a half.
She was the shelter's longest-term resident and was officially adopted by Ray Kinz on December 12.
Staff at the shelter stood outside and threw confetti to celebrate and say goodbye to Bonita.
"Bonita is home and couldn't be happier!" Kinz commented on the video. "Thank you Niagara County SPCA for taking such good care of her."
