The mission of the All Star Children's Foundation is to create a safe place for children to heal from the trauma of child abuse, including a soon-to-open five-acre Campus of Hope & Healing in Sarasota, Florida.
Johnson, who now lives in Sarasota, is excited to be a part of the good cause.
"They have brought a community together in a common cause to help children who have grown up in unpredictable households where violence and neglect may have occurred," Johnson said in a statement. "There is no greater good than what they have achieved in building the All Star Children's Foundation campus, and Brenda and I are honored to be a part of it."
The campus will include a clinical treatment center, six foster homes, a clubhouse with a computer learning lab and other community amenities such as a playground and outdoor movie theater.
The new campus is expected to be completed by the end of January 2020.
