Kent County's official Facebook page posted a photo of 5-year-old Michael Clark Jr., sitting beside his foster parents as his classmates watched in excitement while holding paper hearts in their hands.
Michael had lived with his foster parents for one year prior to the hearing, so when the big day came he wanted to share it with all of his friends.

Michael was one of 37 children being adopted Thursday on Kent County's Annual Adoption Day.
"It's Adoption Day at the Kent County Courthouse. 37 children are being lovingly and officially welcomed by their families. There is not a dry eye in Judge Patricia Gardner's courtroom," Kent County officials wrote on Facebook.
