On Saturday, the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League posted on Facebook that they were out of dry dog food and desperately needed more.
In less than 24 hours the shelter was able to post a "thank you" message with a photo of the donated food.
"WOW!! We are so humbled by our community and beyond. This is most of todays donations but there were another 30 50lb bags from the generous donations from our paypal and over the phone donations!! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and the animals from their full tummies!" the shelter wrote on Facebook.
