Joe Rogan Is Paying For MMA Fighter's $30,000 Surgery So She Can Make A Comeback
July 29, 2019
MMA commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan is paying for a fighter's surgery so that she can make her dream comeback.

Miriam Nakamoto has been in need of knee surgery but could not afford the surgery. Rogan is also covering all her expenses to get to Panama so she can have the procedure.
Nakamoto shared the good news on her Instagram page with a screenshot of the text messages between the two of them.
"So ...this happened today," Nakamoto wrote. "I'm struggling to find the words. I've been trying to make a comeback for almost 6 years now. I've come close a few times. But I kept having difficulty with my knee. There's not much to be down with a grade 3 lesion on a meniscus besides stem cell therapy. I didn't have $30,000 so I did the best that I could, but I still always came up short. And then this happens today. I'm still in shock. Thank you @joerogan. See you soon Dr. Riordan!"
