'Music + Love = Cancer Free': Dad Dances Son's Cancer Away

December 20, 2018

Kennith Thomas went viral last summer for a video of him dancing for his son, Kristian, who was fighting leukemia at the Childrens Hospital Of Philidelphia.

On Saturday, Thomas announced that Kristian, who was diagnosed with AMKL at 14 months old, is one month cancer free.

Blow The Whistle We 1 Month Cancer Free!" Thomas wrote on Instagram.

"It was the most glorifying thing you could ever feel," Thomas told TODAY. "When your one-year-old is going through a huge battle, as a parent you want to take their place. You don't want them to have to suffer."

After Thomas' video went viral in July, he gained over 70,000 supporters on Instagram including numerous celebrities.

"This. Is. Beautiful," rapper Common wrote.

"MUSIC + LOVE = CANCER FREE......Much love to @Kennyclutch415 for sharing this beautiful moment with lil' man," Christopher KID Reid tweeted.

"Kenny Thomas! I don't know you but I love you," wrote Alyssa Milano.

As for Thomas, he plans to keep on dancing.
