Hospital Staff Pays Tribute To Organ Donors With 'Walk Of Respect'
October 2, 2018
They call it the "Walk of Respect".
Staff at St. Luke's Health System in Meridian, Idaho stop to line the halls of the ICU to show respect for patients providing the life-saving gift of organ donation.
In the video above, dozens of medical staff pay silent tribute to a 53-year-old man as he was moved from the ICU to the operating room, where he was then taken off life support and passed away.
The display not only honors the donor, but shows support for the family during a difficult time.
"Thank you to the family for allowing us to honor and share," the hospital wrote on Facebook.
