J.J. Watt Quietly Donates $10,000 To Family Of Fallen Firefighter
July 12, 2018
Shortly after a GoFundMe account was started to benefit the family of a firefighter killed by an explosion, someone took a shot and asked J.J. Watt for a donation.
Hours later a $10,000 donation was quietly made from the NFL superstar.

Captain Cory Barr, 34, died on Tuesday responding to a gas leak which led to a tragic explosion in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Cory left behind his wife, Abby, and two little girls.
Watt was born and raised in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, about an hour from Sun Prairie. Watt's father was also a firefighter for 28 years.
Watt didn't announce his donation on social media, or call any attention to it.
There was just a donation, alongside the $5 and $20 donations from all over, for $10,000 from Justin Watt, J.J.'s full name.
