Cheerleader Asks Friend With Special Needs To Prom In Heartwarming Video
May 3, 2018
A cheerleader at Anacostia High School in Washington, D.C. asked her friend to prom and the video is going to warm your heart.
Keyonna Moore made a sign and brought balloons to ask Tyuan Malik Barbour, who had never been to a school dance before, to be her date to prom. Barbour was born with several disabilities and relies on a wheelchair to get around.
When Barbour saw Moore approaching with her sign, his face lit up with excitement.
Moore said she asked him to prom "to show him that he matters and give him the attention and kindness that he deserves."
"I felt like I should just make someone happy for once and not just do it for attention, but actually do a good deed and actually care and show love," Moore told Fox 5 DC. "His face was priceless. He was just so excited and then once he said yes, my heart melted."
