A Maryland father was so impressed with his daughter's behavior analysis that he had no choice but to give in to her request for a puppy.

Brendan Greeley said he was getting ready for work one morning and when he opened the newspaper to check the headlines, he discovered his 8-year-old daughter wrote in big letters "Can I PLEASE get a puppy!? (A real one)."
"She really did do behavior analysis," Greeley told TODAY. "She watched my habits on how I would sit down in the morning and read the newspaper. And she figured out how to get my attention."
Greeley posted a photo of his daughter's clever tactics on Twitter and it went viral. It was even retweeted by J.K. Rowling.

Greeley and his wife, who already have a 10-year-old lab in addition to four children, adopted a puppy.
But with all this attention, Greeley decided to make the most of it. He asked anyone who liked or saw his post to donate to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County in Maryland.
For every donation, he is posting a photo of the new puppy, whom the family appropriately named "J.K. Growling."
