10-Year-Old Girl Feels Dejected After Mom's Comment, Then Twitter Saves The Day
February 22, 2018
A young aspiring artist felt dejected after her mother criticized her recent work but the Internet's response has encouraged her to continue chasing her dream.
Last week, Marely's older sister Emely posted a photo of the heartbreaking note Marely left next to a pair of her shoes.
"I asked my little sister if she could paint my shoes because she wants to be an artist before I left to go out and when I got home this was on my bed and now I'm literally crying because I love them so much and it sucks how much your parents affect u when they're not supportive."

The response on Twitter has been nothing short of remarkable.

People are trying to get Vans to hire Marely to design a custom shoe.

Though the official Vans Twitter account has yet to reply, Vans Warped Tour posted a great response.

On Monday, Emely posted an update to thank everyone for their support and kindness.
"Marely wanted to give all of you a quick thanks! I also want to say thank you for making my little sister feel so special."
