December 5, 2017

An 8th grade teacher's photo of a bicycle is helping to restore the world's faith in humanity this holiday season.

The teacher has a "giving tree" in her classroom which was supplied by a local charity. It includes ornaments with wish lists for less fortunate children.

Her homeroom decided to select a random ornament off the tree.

"I teach 8th grade," she wrote in a comment. "This week, my homeroom took an angel off the 'giving tree' - a little girl. All she asked for was a bike and clothes. My kids all agreed to bring in $2 each and we'd buy her clothes because we couldn't afford to get the bike. Then today, very quietly, one of them came to my room with this."

She "bawled" when the student walked into her classroom with the new bicycle.
