Dying Woman Asked To See The Ocean One Last Time, So The Ambulance Made A Detour
November 23, 2017
A crew of paramedics in Australia made a detour to the beach for a palliative care patient who asked to see the ocean one last time.

Queensland Ambulance
The patient was being transported to the palliative care unit of a local hospital in Queensland when she mentioned her desire to see the beach.
The paramedics decided to take a detour to the hospital, propping the patient up in the stretcher so she could see the ocean from Hervey Bay.
"Tears were shed and the patient felt very happy," Queensland Ambulance said in a Facebook post. "Sometimes it is not the drugs/training/skills – sometimes all you need is empathy to make a difference!"
