Avery's only course of action was to tweet the hilarity.
"My mom dropped me off today for college freshman orientation and she sends me this."

Avery's tweet has been retweeted nearly 100,000 times and liked more than 447,000 times.
One Twitter responder suggested Avery's mom had so much fun at orientation, she'll probably come back to start classes for the new semester!

Avery says her sweet-natured mom is pretty "silly and goofy" and that she was shocked by the attention her texts were receiving on social media.
"My mom says, 'it was just a text from a mom to a daughter!'"
