The Bat Signal Will Light Up Los Angeles In Honor Of Adam West
June 15, 2017
The mayor of Los Angeles is honoring the late Adam West with a lighting of the iconic bat signal on Thursday night.
West, who played Batman on the classic 1960s television series, died Saturday at 88.

Mayor Eric Garcetti announced the event on Twitter with the hashtag, #BrightKnight.

Batman is often referred to as the Dark Knight, but West's children said in a statement that he aspired to positivity and always saw himself as "The Bright Knight."
