80-Year-Old Couple Finishes Marathan Hand-In-Hand To Celebrate 57th Anniversary
July 2, 2016
Kay and Joe O'Regan have done what not many married couples have ever done.
On June 6, the 80-year-olds crossed the finish line hand-in-hand at the Cork City Marathon in Ireland.

The O'Regans ran their first marathon together in London in 1986. They crossed the finish line in similar fashion.

While they generally prefer to take part in separate races, the pair decided that running together in the Cork City Marathon would be the perfect way to celebrate their 80th birthdays, as well as their 57th wedding anniversary.

And to top it off, Joe and Kay finished at 5 hours and 23 minutes, making them both first for their age group.
