Tim McGraw Is Surprising A Veteran On Every Stop Of His 2015 Tour With A Mortgage-Free Home

June 12, 2015

Country music star Tim McGraw is giving away 36 mortgage-free homes to military veterans.

McGraw said that he will give away one newly renovated house at every single stop on his upcoming Shotgun Rider 2015 tour.

"The return to civilian life can be a challenging transition," says McGraw in a message to the press. "We want to welcome veterans home to the community they sacrificed to protect. A mortgage-free home provides stability for their families and also allows them to start this new chapter of their life with one less worry. It's an amazing feeling to see them receive something they so deeply deserve, and to be able to share that experience with thousands of fans each night makes me proud to be a part of this program."

The country music singer has already given away 108 homes to military veterans over the past three years through a partnership between Chase and his Operation HomeFront program.

"Launching our HomeFront program made last summer so much more special than I could have originally imagined. I can honestly say that I got as much – or more – out of the experience than the veterans who received the new homes and assistance," McGraw said. "These families made an incredible mark on me, and I'm more grateful than I've ever been for the sacrifices they make every day to serve our country. I'm just honored to be a part of this program, and I look forward to working with Chase and Operation Homefront to take it even further this summer."
