It was an emotional reunion between Joshua Kaufman and rescuer Daniel Gillespie. On April 29, 1945, Gillespie, a U.S. Army soldier, liberated Kaufman and many others from the Dachau death camp near Munich.

Kaufman was the first person Gillespie saw, hiding in the latrines with other prisoners. Gillespie helped free Kaufman and they both parted with tears in their eyes - both believed they would never see one another again.

The two reunited in Hungtington Beach, California.
"I have wanted to do this for 70 years. I love you, I love you so much," Kaufman said to his rescuer.

"I have everything I wanted in life through him," Kaufman said. "That is the reason for my thankfulness."
The meeting and their stories will be in a History Channel (Germany) special to be screened this summer.
