Inspirational girl tells her story on Ellen

21 year old college student Charisa Kelly was completely surprised when Ellen brought her on her show to tell her story.

Her mother abandoned her at 4 years old for drugs. She called protective services on herself at just 14 years old in order to have an opportunity in life. Her foster mother ended up being the best thing that happened to her.

She is now in college majoring in Occupational Therapy and one year from graduation. She has never been on a vacation, and this trip to the Ellen show was her first plane ride.
