The neighborhood cat came to visit me the day after my cat passed away- I like to think it was a sign from my cat saying that she’s okay.

So yesterday morning after I finished feeding the cats, I looked up after putting the dishes in the sink and saw this cat standing outside just sitting there and staring at the window.

I went out and as soon as it saw me, it ran up to me and was desperate to get my attention. Meowing, purring, pawing at me, weaving between my legs.

When I kneeled down with him, he got as close as he could and he started head-butting and kneading on me almost exactly like Bailey used to do whenever she would greet me. I sat down with him and he sat in my lap until I had to leave.

As soon as I walked up the driveway and turned around, he was gone.

I know it was Bailey coming back to say goodbye since I wasn't there with her when she passed- it couldn't have been a coincidence. I named the cat Romeo because he was so affectionate.

Hopefully I'll get to see him again.
