Climbed Stone Mountain With My Autistic Son

I’m really proud of Andrew.

He climbed the mountain with me, which was the right of passage with my dad. He did a great job and really enjoyed it.

It’s nice to have something we can share together that really has nothing to do with his autism but has everything to do with his autism. It has nothing to do with it because it’s hiking and he’s a kid and loves it. It has everything to do with it to me because it’s reinforces that he can do so much despite what I’m learning is over parenting or over worrying from me.

I’m so proud of my son.
