Co-Workers Kindness
By mary anne hartung • March 31, 2026
I had an emergency surgery. When I woke up, I was unable to walk and had to undergo 4 months of occupational and physical rehab.
When I was finally able to return to work, I faced quite a challenge. I had to use a walker at first and then a cane. My office was across a very large building. However, there is a service entrance that can be used, but I couldn't leave my car there.
Every morning, two of my co-workers would be waiting when I arrived at work. One would take my car to the parking lot and the other would escort me to my office to make sure I made it safely. In the afternoon, a co-worker would get my car and drive it to the service entrance and another would escort me back to my car. They made my return to work as smooth as possible.
Those guys are my brothers for life. They made a very hard time bearable and, to this day, still do as much as they can for me whenever I need anything.
I am very blessed to have such good friends.
