My parents passed away less than 2 years ago (one year apart) and I recently found this note my mom wrote.

They were married in 1955 and were together until the end.

Side 1: "3/11/55 Friday
My darling came tonight! How glad I was to see him. He’s my angel!! He got to Wesleyan and called me to come and get him in the Buick. All the way over I was so-so happy. I love him so! We went to The Drive- in. I love him (with all my heart and soul forever and evermore."

Side 2: "We've been going steady for 1 year tonight. One wonderful year!! I wouldn't have wanted to live if I hadn't met my darling Kent. We went over to Susan's tonight. Hate to see this week-end come to an end. I love my angel so very much."
