I Love My MIL And Pecan Pie. I Promise Those Two Things Are Connected

I've been married for 12 years and my MIL is the sweetest person. I've always complained that its expected for the in law relationship to just automatically be toxic. I could go on for awhile about all the kind things she does for me (and the family as a whole).

So side not I love pecan pie, always have. Unfortunately my family always thought it was gross so I never got to have it growing up. One day, maybe two years into my marriage my wife just happened to mention that it was my favorite pie. My MIL hosts all of our family dinners and for ten years every family dinner we have, she makes a pecan pie just for me. Nobody else in the family wants it but she makes me a pie just to be kind.

I love that woman like she's my own mother.
