Random Girl Sang To Me To Soothe My Panic Attack During PE
By a friend • October 2, 2025
When I was a freshman in highschool with hella anxiety I had a pretty bad panic attack (no idea why but back then it was horrible to me).
It was PE we were outdoors on the black top and the senior teacher's assistant named Olivia told me to come sit by her cause she probably saw I was hyperventilating.
She had me put my head in her lap and she softly rubbed my hair/arm/something while she sang quietly to me. It took me off guard I didn't know her pretty much at all other than I thought she was really beautiful and kind of soft-spoken. I didn't think she looked in my direction ever until that day but what she did calmed me down soon enough so I thanked her and she scurried off and that's about all I remember.
I think about her often and her random act kindness towards a total stranger. Through the years I wonder sometimes how she's doing and wish I could thank her again for that pivotal moment in my faith in humanity. I really hope she's doing well.
