Earlier this morning, while I was at my local Woolies (Safeway in America), I saw a young mother and her maybe 4-5 year old child stop in front of a homeless man, on their way out. She withdrew a pack of chocolate Tim Tams from her shopping, opened it and gave two pieces to her child before instructing him to give them to the homeless guy.

It was obvious how pleased and happy the man was with his little gift. The lady put the rest of the pack in his bag and they stopped for a little chat, before moving on. It was such a beautiful, moving moment which deserves more appreciation than they'll receive.

That little boy is going to grow up to be a very well-rounded, empathetic and caring young man.
