Electric Blanket

By Margaret • August 29, 2022

Tonight I worked back late til 10pm and on the drive home I was cursing the fact that I hadn’t been able to turn on my electric blanket, and my bed would be cold and unwelcoming when I finally crawled into it.

My 24-year-old son realised I was having a late night, and when I got home he told me he’d turned it on for me.

I nearly cried, not just from gratitude for the warm bed, but because he had been so thoughtful.

I’m proud of who he has become.
