Cat Saved From Euthanasia After Vets Remove 26 Hair Ties From Her Stomach

A 6-year-old cat on the brink of being euthanized is now happily devouring her meals after an incredible rescue.

Midnite’s story began when a Florida rescue was contacted about a cat suffering from a serious intestinal blockage. Her condition was so severe that she had been signed over for euthanasia.

But the team at HALO No-Kill Rescue Shelter stepped in without hesitation.

During surgery, veterinarians discovered the cause of Midnite’s blockage — 26 hair ties.

“Ever wondered where all your hair ties disappear to? Sometimes they end up in places you would never imagine. Like your pet’s stomach,” the rescue shared in a social media post.

“This sweet girl almost lost her life because of it.”

Thankfully, she made it through surgery and is now on the road to recovery.

And her appetite? It’s back in full force.

“Today she’s recovering and eating every single bite of her meals. And when we say eating, we mean RAVENOUSLY attacking her bowl the moment it’s put down.”

Midnite was one of the lucky ones. She was given a second chance.

“Not every animal gets that,” the rescue added.
