A man named Glad recently shared a heartwarming story on X about helping his neighbor’s son experience a fun day he might not otherwise have. The boy, who doesn’t have a dad, occasionally goes fishing with Glad, who clearly enjoys spending time with him.

Glad wrote, “A neighbor lady will occasionally ask me to take her boy fishing. He doesn't have a dad. Bought us matching pocket knives. It's his birthday. Wish us luck.”

Alongside the post, he shared photos of their new knives and the peaceful fishing spot they’d be visiting.

A few hours later, he gave an update.

Glad wrote, “The kiddo caught a bunch. Nothing crazy big but he was happy. Loved his knife.”
