There’s a new bundle of long-legged joy at the Toledo Zoo — and he’s already stealing hearts.
Baby giraffe Eugene was born on January 17, weighing in at a healthy 130 pounds. He’s the adorable new addition to proud parents Lily and Rocket, and according to zoo staff, both mom and baby are healthy and thriving.
But let’s talk about what’s really making the internet smile.

Eugene’s most distinctive feature? A tiny tuft of hair sitting right on top of his head — and it’s giving him the most hilarious, lovable hairdo we’ve ever seen.
“He’s got his little tuft of hair on top of his head,” said Jennifer Brassil from the zoo.
That little tuft has quickly made Eugene a social media favorite, with visitors and fans swooning over his one-of-a-kind style.
“The public is just loving him,” Brassil shared.
At just days old, Eugene is already proving that sometimes all it takes is a little extra hair to become a big star.
And honestly… with hair like that, how could you not love him?
