Lion-Like Creature Spotted In Ireland - Police Reveal What It Really Was

For a few days, people in County Clare, Ireland, thought they had a wild mystery on their hands — a “lion-like” creature was reportedly roaming the woods, and locals weren’t quite sure what to make of it.

The story took off when a video began circulating online, showing what appeared to be a large, shaggy animal lurking among the trees. Even Ireland’s police service, An Garda Síochána, joined in on the curiosity, describing the mysterious creature as “lion-like.”

But after a brief investigation, the case was quickly — and hilariously — solved.

"If you go down to the woods today… it’s not a lion you will find but the very friendly Newfoundland dog named Mouse," the Garda in Killaloe announced.

Turns out, Mouse had recently gotten a fresh haircut that made him look a little more safari than seaside!
