A Reddit user recently shared how she found a heartfelt way to support her single dad friend while giving his kids a memory they’ll never forget.

“I made my single dad friend a deconstructed apple crumble as a fun sensory and bonding activity for him and his kids,” she wrote.

The thoughtful idea came while she was baking several apple crumbles for friends and family.

Knowing her friend was always looking for activities to do with his two young children, she decided to put together a special “deconstructed” version of the dessert — complete with instructions and ingredients — so he and his kids could make it themselves.

A hands-on project that let the kids get messy, creative, and connected with their dad in the sweetest way possible.
