Someone Dressed Up Dead Beetles As Jurassic Park Characters — And Sold Them

August 1, 2025

In case you thought the internet had run out of surprises, think again.

A creative soul on Etsy recently stunned (and amused) the world by selling beetles dressed up as characters from Jurassic Park.

Yes, actual beetles. Yes, dressed up. And yes—people bought them.

The artist behind the tiny, prehistoric cosplay explained that this wasn’t her usual gig. She doesn’t regularly outfit insects in miniature movie costumes. It was a one-time art project for a show, and after the event wrapped, she put the beetles up for sale online.

Well, that's what she said.

Naturally, the internet reacted exactly as you’d expect: with hilarious disbelief.

“Knowing that such an individual exists and is roaming this very world makes life a little brighter,” one commenter wrote.
“I’m not sure if I should be laughing or being scared,” said another. A third chimed in perfectly: “You should be both.”

One thing is for sure — this Jurassic bug exhibit gave the world a little unexpected joy... and probably a few confused chuckles.

Life, uh... finds a way.
