In celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary this summer, the original screen-used stunt bike—custom-built as a Schwinn DX Cruiser—will soon be on display in Texas.
The beloved bicycle, used during the movie’s action-packed scenes, has captured the hearts of fans for decades and is now permanently joining the Alamo’s upcoming Visitor Center and Museum, scheduled to open in Fall 2027.

But you won’t have to wait that long to see it! The bike will make its first public appearance later this year during a special limited-time showing inside the Ralston Family Collection Center.
To mark the occasion, the Alamo is also hosting a free public screening of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure at the newly reopened Plaza de Valero. It’s the perfect way to relive the magic of Pee-wee’s quest—and this time, the bike really is at the Alamo!
