China's 'Puppy Mountain' Looks Uncannily Like A Dog. See It For Yourself!

A mountain in China is making waves on social media after a hiker’s vacation photo revealed an unexpected surprise—it looks just like a dog!

Shanghai-based designer Guo Qingshan snapped the picture during a January hike in his hometown of Yichang, Hubei province.

But it wasn’t until he returned home and reviewed the photos that he spotted the uncanny resemblance. The mountain appears to rest on the ground in the shape of a dog’s head.

"I was so excited and happy when I discovered it," Guo said. "The puppy’s posture is like it’s drinking water, or it’s looking at some fish. It also looks like it’s quietly protecting the Yangtze River."

Excited by the discovery, Guo posted the image on Chinese social media platform Rednote, playfully dubbing it “Puppy Mountain.”

The name stuck, and the internet ran with it. One commenter jokingly named it “Clifford”, while another wrote, “WHO’S A GOOD MOUNTAIN? YOU are!”
