Jason Kelce Is Telling His Kids Cats Are Poisonous To Avoid Getting One
September 6, 2024
Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce is known for his humor, and in a recent episode of the Kelce brothers' podcast, New Heights, he gave fans a hilarious insight into his clever (and questionable) parenting tactic to avoid getting a pet cat.

It’s no secret that Jason isn’t a fan of having cats indoors. During the podcast, his brother Travis confronted him about his cat avoidance strategy, and Jason explained his rather creative solution.
"Listen, I respect what a cat can do in nature," Jason said. "It's a ferocious hunting animal."
However, he made it very clear that his respect for cats doesn’t extend to welcoming one into his home.
Instead of giving in to his kids’ inevitable requests for a feline friend, Jason admitted he’s been telling his three children that cats are poisonous. Yes, you read that right! His latest ploy to keep their home cat-free is to convince his daughters that cats are dangerous.
When asked by Travis if he thought this was a good idea, Jason joked, "It’s whatever, they'll find out. I think lying to your kids is important. I think it's genius. I think it's a genius ploy."
The real kicker? Travis’s girlfriend, none other than Taylor Swift, is a well-known cat lover with her own beloved felines.
Fans were quick to point out the impending showdown, with one Twitter user jokingly asking, "And what is Jason's plan when they meet Auntie TayTay's cats?"
