Jon Rahm Overcame A Jinx By Two Famous NFL Players To Win The Masters
April 10, 2023
Jon Rahm won the Masters on Sunday, clinching his first ever green jacket.
But the 28-year-old had a terrible start to the tournament — and he's blaming his famous friends J.J. Watt and Zach Ertz.
Minutes before his tee time on Thursday, he checked his phone and saw messages in a group chat with J.J. and Zach.
They had both wished Jon luck and let him know the first green looks like a walk in the park.

@JJWatt posted the texts to Twitter
Well, it was not a walk in the park for Jon.
He four-putted the first green.
J.J. shared the texts he and Zach sent each other privately after watching him four-putt on live TV.

But Jon recovered and went on to become the first Masters champion in 70 years to win after making double or worse on their first hole.
"Thank you Zach, don't ever do that again," Jon said during the green-jacket ceremony.
