Interviewing for a job is stressful, but interviewing for a job while pregnant can be terrifying.
But this pregnant woman was hired -- and her post on LinkedIn is going viral!

"I AM PREGNANT and I GOT HIRED.
While this is becoming more mainstream, being a ‘pregnant hire’ still feels like an oxymoron.
One clear indication: I was terrified of breaking the news throughout the interviews (though coming from People Ops, I should know better) and several times got the 'well intended' advice to hide my pregnancy until signing.
I decided not to compromise and tell the truth, 6 months pregnant (again). I want to be a role model to my daughter and work for a company that values and empowers working mums that juggle two toddlers.
The result: I got the job, incl. maternity leave and I couldn't be more motivated to join a progressive thinking and inspiring team.
Thanks KAYA VC for trusting in me and excited to get started and support more founders, people teams and scale ups in all things talent and people operations."
Her post has nearly 80,000 likes with thousands of comments.
"I did too! After struggling with infertility for years, I found out I was pregnant a week after I started my job," one user commented. "I was obviously afraid to tell my boss, but I knew I had to do it. His reaction? Total support. And he said, 'I love hiring moms because they know how to be efficient and they need the job to provide for their families.' But the first thing out of this mouth was 'Congratulations!' And he meant it."
"I totally understand this, I too was pregnant and got hired. This was 30 years ago," another woman commented.
