May 5, 2021
John Mayer wrote an apology song to a fan he ignored 16 years ago.
On May 1, 2021, Brian Burns wrote a happy birthday tweet to his mother and shared a photo of her from 2005 begging John Mayer's manager for a photo with Mayer.

Well, the tweet reached John Mayer and he responded on TikTok -- by writing her a song and wishing her a happy birthday.

Kristine was sent the video by her son and daughter and it has made her so, so happy.
"Kristine is my mom and has been waiting 16 years for John Mayer to acknowledge her existence. This is the highlight of my family's life right now," her daughter said.
Brian also shared the voicemail his Mom left him.
